I am a youth development advocate with over 2 years of experience in student leadership, social entrepreneurship and volunteerism & advocacy for change. I am extremely passionate about using my leadership to create and enhance access to learning and employment opportunities that facilitate youth contribution to national development.
In March 2020, I founded an NGO called the Outliers Youth Network, a platform that connects like-minded young people to one another, democratizes growth opportunities and offers free capacity building sessions that build up youths into well-rounded leaders.
Last year, RUBIP, a startup that I cofounded was sponsored by UNICEF and received a mini-grant from Generation Unlimited and other global organizations to fund the innovative solutions we are providing to support and enhance decent jobs and employment for all youths by 2030. With demonstrated expertise and real impact in my work, I have been invited to speak at a few high-level policy discussions around youth development and employment.
As a result of the work I do in running an NGO and a startup, I have acquired core competencies in leadership, public speaking and networking, grant proposal writing, youth mobilization and project management. I am seasoned in all the three pillars of competencies required to thrive in any organization which are- leadership effectiveness, business fundamentals and social innovation.
I am currently working towards obtaining my B.sc from the University of Ibadan. My background in science has strengthened my ability to pay attention to details and also notice hidden trends from data. I hope to use the problem solving skills I have gathered over the years to improve the way diseases are diagnosed and treated; my career focus is to use integrative medical research to improve healthcare deliveries.
Growth, Impact and Enjoyment are the three pillars I try to shape my decisions around. When I’m not studying or impacting lives, I’m enjoying myself- visiting new places and meeting new people makes me happy. I’m bright, open to learning and ready to explore new growth opportunities.
